1. Policy. The Abstract Software, Inc. (“Abstract”) Privacy Policy covers Abstract’s treatment of personal or personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that may be collected when you are on the Abstract website and when you use Abstract’s services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Abstract does not own or control, or to individuals that are not under Abstract’s supervisory control.

2. Collection and Use of Personal Information. Abstract may collect Personal Information when you use certain services on the Abstract website or when you visit cookie-enabled web pages. Abstract may also log your IP address when you use the Abstract website. Abstract uses this Personal Information to fulfill requests for our services or products, to contact users regarding changes to our site or our business, and to customize the content that you might see on the Abstract website. Abstract may also use “cookie” files to better serve your needs by creating a customized website which fits your needs. You can set your browser to notify you before a cookie is received, giving you an opportunity to decide whether to accept the cookie. You may also set your browser to turn off cookies; however, some websites may not then work properly.

3. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information. Abstract will not sell or rent your Personal Information to any individual, business, or government entity except as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Abstract employs or engages other companies and individuals to perform business functions on behalf of Abstract. These persons are provided with Personal Information required to perform their functions, but are prohibited by contract from using the information for other purposes. Abstract will share your Personal Information should you request Abstract to share such information, or if Abstract is required to respond to court orders, subpoenas or other legal process. Circumstances may arise where for business reasons, Abstract decides to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize its business in the United States or some other country. Such a transaction may involve the disclosure of Personal Information to prospective or actual purchasers, and/or receiving such information from sellers. It is Abstract’s practice to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions. Abstract reserves the right to disclose to third parties Personal Information about customers for marketing analysis; however, any information disclosed will be in the form of aggregate data that does not describe or identify an individual User.

4. User Accounts. Abstract allows users to set up personal accounts to buy products or services from Abstract on its website or for other purposes. If you set up a user account on our website, you will have the ability to edit your User Information at any time, and may delete your account at your convenience. Under no condition will Abstract share your user account information with another individual, business or government entity, unless Abstract is required to respond to court orders, subpoenas or other legal process.

5. Encryption. Abstract employs physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the security and integrity of Personal Information. All user account pages are protected with Secure Socket Layer (“SSL”) encryption. All user accounts must be accessed with usernames and passwords. You are advised not to share your username and password with any other person. Billing and payment data is encrypted whenever transmitted or received online. Personal Information is accessible only by staff designated to handle online requests or complaints. All Abstract agents and contractors with access to personal information on the Abstract web site are also bound to adhere to Abstract security standards. Abstract will exercise all reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of User Personal Information. However, transmissions protected by industry standard security technology and implemented by humans cannot be made absolutely secure. Consequently, Abstract shall not be liable for unauthorized disclosure of Personal Information due to no fault of Abstract including, but not limited to, errors in transmission and unauthorized acts of Abstract staff and/or third parties.

6. Amendments. This Privacy Policy was last updated on March 13, 2023. Abstract reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Abstract will contact registered users by e-mail, and shall also post a notice of changes on its website, when and if the terms of this policy are amended.

7. Opt-Out Right. Users have the right at any time to cease permitting their Personal Information to be collected, used or disclosed by Abstract and/or by any third parties with whom Abstract has shared and/or transferred such Personal Information. Your right of cancellation may be exercised by contacting Abstract via email at help@abstractsoft.net, telephone or postal mail. After processing the cancellation, Abstract will delete your Personal Information from its data bank.

8. Access Rights to Data. Upon your request, Abstract will provide a reasonable description of your Personal Information that Abstract maintains in its data bank. Help Abstract to keep your Personal Information accurate. If your Personal Information changes, or if you note an error upon review of your Personal Information that Abstract has on file, please promptly email Abstract at help@abstractsoft.net and provide the new or correct information. If you reside in California, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request certain information regarding Abstract’s disclosure of your Personal Information for Abstract’s direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please write to Abstract at , JongSeok Won ABSTRACT SOFTWARE INC 300 Lenora Street #4096 Seattle, WA 98121. Within 30 days of receiving such a request, Abstract will provide a list of the categories of Personal Information disclosed to third parties for third-party direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of these third parties. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. Abstract reserves its right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the address specified in this paragraph.
